Position Summary

The Lubricant Pricing Manager supports and leads lube pricing, establish policies and guidelines, provides analytical guidance, including setting rates, supporting pre-sales activities, identifying market opportunities, and tailoring packages to the local market. The role would work very closely with Supply Chain and Sales Operations team members to optimize and execute lube strategies, as well as ensuring proper SAP maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining lube pricing within SAP including the clean-up of current legacy pricing to allow more automation vs manual work-arounds
  • Develop and maintain customer catalogs within SAP to ensure proper materials and pricing on delivery tickets
  • Support all sales pricing needs for customer quotes and contract opportunities
  • Main point of contact with lube vendors on rebates and specific customer pricing to ensure we are able to maintain margins and leverage existing tools and automation
  • Calculation/processing of rebates daily for all lube vendors
  • Accrual and reconciliation of actual rebates received
  • Support lube strategies
    1. Develop strategic pricing strategies with sales
    2. Close collaboration with supply chain and sales on lube system rationalization, including product offerings to ensure driving highest margins
    3. Lube margin analysis work with sales and leadership on where we are vs where we want to be and how to get there
      1. Historical product mix
      2. True product margins, including general and special customer rebates


Typical Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years in lubricant pricing or other lubricant support area
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in leadership, specifically managing and developing teams
  • Proven ability to use analytics to enhance departmental performance
  • Ability to manage others in a fast-paced environment and ensure deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas and/or Transportation industry
  • Thorough understanding of how pricing impacts the business
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively

  • This position requires working in an office setting.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, push and pull at least up to 10 lbs.
  • Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions
