This position will perform the role of IT Senior FICO Business Analyst. The primary focus of this position is to manage and support the financial and controlling areas of the business environment by facilitating changes and updates to the SAP system and continuously monitoring the business processes to insure they are mirroring best practice. The Senior FICO Business Analyst will utilize business tools (process maps, value stream maps, data flow diagrams, functional requirement specifications and project management) to govern documentation of current FICO system configuration and business process within SAP ECC 6.0 ERP. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, document the future-state business processes and manage the delivery of new functionality, maintain data and transaction integrity and promptly recommend and facilitate business process improvement. Recommend best practices to financial and controlling area management and proactively seek out opportunities to improve methods of doing business that will add value or contribute to cost reduction and/or efficiency.
 
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead implementation of new functionality and improve existing functionality by analyzing and defining business requirements and translating them into effective technical/functional solutions
  • Responsible for the configuration and daily support of the SAP FICO module
  • Work with business resources to prioritize, coordinate and execute daily production support activities
  • Work with cross functional teams to prioritize work and drive system solutions by clearly defining business needs
  • Work hand-in-hand with development resources to implement business requirements
  • Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution in a timely manner
  • Support system integration with 3rd party payment systems and vendors
  • Work with management and BI team to define and build executive-level financial reports and dashboards
  • Provide end-user training experience

 

Typical Minimum Education & Experience

  • 4-year College Degree
  • 7+ yrs SAP FICO
  • Strong FICO configuration and technical skills
  • Knowledge of SAP Product Costing & Controlling implementation experience specifically with both Account and Cost-based COPA
  • Understand the business functions of Finance and Accounting and evaluate how IT changes may impact and improve the operation of these business functions.
  • Areas of expertise including General Ledger, Costing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Analysis, Corporate Accounting and COPA
  • Ability to multi task in a dynamic environment
  • Minimum of 7 years of SAP R/3 (ECC 6.0) experience focused on the FICO modules.
  • Integration experience with 3rd party applications and SAP portals
  • EDI/ALE/IDoc experience
  • Change Control and Release Management Experience
  • Practical Finance and costing business knowledge and SAP R/3 implementation experience
  • B2B/PI integration with suppliers/vendors, companies, plants and suppliers
  • SAP ABAP Query knowledge
  • Experience with BPC
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
