Job Description Summary:

Field Service Technician will be required to perform maintenance  and make repairs to Pilot Thomas Logistics owned equipment.  Equipment include: pumping units (fuel pumps and all components), storage tanks, and monitoring systems. Training will be provided on proper maintenance and care of all Pilot Thomas Logistics owned equipment.

Essential Responsibilites:

  • Perform Pilot Thomas Logistics equipment inspections and make necessary repairs as needed
  • Complete work orders
  • Minor electrical duties and electronic diagnosis may be performed
  • Analytical skills required. Must be able to cipher problematic issues on all equipment.
  • Mechanical skills required. Must be familiar with basic hand tool skills.

Work Schedule

  • Shifts times will vary
  • Tuesday-Saturday
  • You will be required to travel to Midland/Odessa 

Other Functions:

  • Special projects as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a valid state driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be atleast 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to operate a 2- way radio, and follow instructions
  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills
  • General understanding of oil and gas operations
  • Must keep accurate records of maintenance events
  • Must be able to read and understand written documentation
  • Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


  • High School Diploma required ( or GED/ High School Equivalency Certificate is acceptable)
  • Associate's Degree Preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Have a strong commitment to safe working practices
  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times while in the production environment
  • Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions
  • Travel may be required
  • May be exposed to temperature extremes, enclosed space, heights and dust and/or dirt.
