Position Summary

The purpose of the Fleet Parts Coordinator position is to support the needs of the company in a professional, safe and timely manner. An individual in this position will assist the maintenance team to keep all equipment in top running condition through an effective preventative maintenance program. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Company Safety rules
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
  • Assisting other mechanics and PTL employees as needed
  • Inventory and parts coordinator
  • Assisting with stocking, ordering parts, and running parts.  

Typical Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in the heavy equipment industry; diesel engine experience and hydraulics preferred
  • Performed and completed Preventative Maintenance Functions unassisted

Basic understanding of:

  • Heavy Trucks/Automotive
  • Fuel Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Hydraulic Systems

Requirements

  • Own a mechanic's tool set, capable of supporting general heavy equipment fleet, including electrical and internal combustion engine and be willing to expand personal tools
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Must be able to lift 70+ lbs
