Pilot Thomas Logistics is the largest provider of fuels, chemicals and lubricants to oil and gas drilling and exploration sites in North America.  PTL is a single-source solution that partners with customers on a 24/7 basis with a fleet of more than 1,400 units operating in all six of the active oil and gas exploration basins in the United States.

 The Regional Fleet Manager responsible for leading all Fleet Managers, in his/her region, involved in the development of new policies and programs, staffing and training process, presentation and reports and can lead multiple teams to success.

 

 Description of Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple Fleet Managers and escalations within the Regional Fleet Organization.
  • Facilitate Weekly Meetings to identify challenges, discuss updates, and work towards company objectives.
  • Trains and empowers Fleet Mangers to maintain strong and healthy team environments.
  • Coordinates and communicates with a large number of direct reports and to lead progress and organizational projects across the Fleet.
  • Identifies and resolves team challenges in a fair and timely manner
  • Supports other corporate departments and company initiatives
  • Acts as the voice of the field organization in planning and project meetings
  • Supports the initiatives of Fleet Maintenance

Qualifications/Job Skills

  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Able to apply concepts such as fraction, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Abel to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Formal supervisory responsibility.
  • Must be able to function independently and work with minimal supervision.

Education

  • High School Degree required
  • BA/BS degree preferred but not required

 Minimum Experience

  • Prefer 8 years in Fleet Maintenance experience
  • Must be able to work from a home office and willing to travel 25-35%
  • ASE or Industry Certifications preferred but not required
  • Proven experience in leading leaders, and multiple teams
  • Proven experience in training and developing teams to success
  • Advanced communication oral, written, and presentations skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Positive attitude exhibiting flexibility, resourcefulness, and self-determination.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Knowledge in Fleet software
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
